Saxophonist Roxy Coss is a guest artist at the Gadsden State Jazz Festival at Gadsden State Community College on Nov. 7, 2019. The theme of the festival is “Celebrating Women in Jazz.”

Saxophonist, composer, educator and activist Roxy Coss will headline the Gadsden State Jazz Festival on Thursday, Nov. 7, following a day of performances from Alabama college jazz ensembles.

Roxy talked with JazzHall Radio’s Andy Parrish about her music, jazz education, and creating more opportunities and collaboration for women through the Women in Jazz Organization she founded.
