Spoken word artist Gia Scott-Heron visited with JazzHall Radio’s Saahara Glaudé, discussing her poetry, the evolution of rap music, and more. Scott-Heron’s father, Gil Scott-Heron, was a pioneer in fusing spoken word performances with music, and has been called the “godfather of rap.”
